Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a Procurement Buyer in Dallas to align with the Regional Procurement Manager and execute strategies for carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

You will lead branch-level demand planning for bundled items and managed inventory, coordinating with the sales group on pricing and lead times. The role requires strong data analysis, forecasting, and negotiation skills, with 3+ years in purchasing or supply chain roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field required.
• 3+ years of purchasing, supply chain planning, materials and/or commodity management.
• Data-driven with strong analytical skills and reporting capability.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; able to work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Align with Regional Procurement Manager to execute procurement strategies for Carbon Steel, Aluminum, Stainless Steel.
• Lead demand planning at branch level for bundled items and contracted business.
• Coordinate with sales on pricing, lead times, and inventory levels.
• Own inventory performance and drive improvements in stock efficiency.
• Track KPIs such as cost savings, purchase price variance, and on-time delivery.
