Job summary

Rhoback is seeking a proactive Merchandise Planner to manage SKU-level sales and inventory forecasting, guiding purchase orders and strategic decisions. The role requires strong Excel expertise and experience in retail planning, reporting to cross-functional teams in Charlottesville, VA.

The ideal candidate will forecast demand, balance supply, and support seasonal assortments while driving inventory health and performance across channels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of merchandise planning or related experience.
• Hands-on apparel experience, sizing standards and seasonal product cycles.
• Excel modeling and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Update, maintain, and improve SKU-level monthly demand forecasts across product categories and sales channels.
• Balance item-level demand plans against supply plans; monitor stock levels and flag imbalances.
• Collaborate to align on open-to-buy (OTB) plans and reconcile tops-down vs. sales channels.
• Aggregate demand forecasts across channels to determine total buy quantities for PO review meetings.
• Analyze historical sales data by size and category to inform sizing ratios and sell-through.
• Partner with Merchandising on trend analyses to inform forecasts.
• Complete PO upload template after PO review meetings to meet internal/external needs.
• Support pre-season planning to build seasonal assortments based on channel performance and WOS targets.
• Partner with Planning, Merchandising, and Operations to execute transfer orders and reserve orders.
