Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, supply chain, engineering, operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in direct materials procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or manufacturing sourcing.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical devices or life sciences is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of total cost of ownership, contract negotiation, supplier qualification, and performance management.
• Ability to analyze cost structures, market dynamics, capacity constraints, supplier risk, and make buy vs. buy decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with ERP, procurement, and data analysis tools (QAD, SAP, Ariba, Excel, MS Project).
• Willingness to travel ~25% including supplier visits and audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute direct materials commodity strategies aligning with business goals and cost reduction.
• Identify and qualify third-party manufacturers and strategic suppliers to meet capacity, quality, and growth needs.
• Support cross-functional teams on new product introductions, outsourcing, supplier transitions, and lifecycle management.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing, including market analysis, RFQ/RFPs, bid evaluation, supplier selection, and contracting.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, service levels, and long-term partnerships with suppliers and CMOs.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities via design-to-cost, value engineering, and supplier productivity improvements.
• Maintain commodity roadmaps, savings pipelines, supplier scorecards, and sourcing documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, risk, and market trends; implement mitigation plans; communicate status to stakeholders.
