Job summary

West Texas Counseling & Guidance (WTCG) is seeking a dedicated Billing & Revenue Cycle Specialist to support accurate medical billing and timely reimbursement. You will review demographics, verify insurance, submit claims, post payments, and monitor AR while resolving denials and payer issues.

This full-time role requires meticulous attention to detail and collaboration with clinicians, intake, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
• Two+ years of medical billing or revenue cycle experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements and insurance processing.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts for demographic, insurance, and billing accuracy before submission.
• Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements as needed.
• Submit medical claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers accurately and timely.
• Post client and insurance payments; apply adjustments and resolve discrepancies.
• Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain AR aging and communicate billing concerns to staff.
