Job summary

King County’s Department of Community and Human Services seeks a Medicaid and Non-Med Medicaid Benefits Program Manager to oversee enrollment and non-Medicaid services. The role focuses on technical assistance, policy implementation, and cross-team coordination to improve access to behavioral health benefits.

Hybrid work arrangements in Seattle, with a focus on equity, throughput, and contractual compliance. Three-year term-limited assignment with potential SDA for King County employees.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and Washington Medicaid rules and law.
• Minimum three years supporting or managing programs in behavioral health or related field.
• Experience with state Medicaid systems such as ProviderOne.
• Experience updating policies, procedures, or operational guidance.
• Experience training providers and internal staff on program processes.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medicaid enrollment and non-Medicaid program operations with a focus on compliance.
• Develop and maintain provider guidance, tools, and training materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align processes.
• Monitor spenddown processes and ensure timely eligibility determinations.
• Provide technical assistance to providers to improve access to benefits.
