Job summary

nLogic seeks an experienced Strategic MBSE Requirements and ICD Lead to advance MILSATCOM capabilities in El Segundo, CA. On-site in a secure facility, you will drive MBSE-based interface development and provide critical system integration support across space and ground segments.

The role requires leading a small technical team, delivering ICDs and interface descriptions, and coordinating with government civilians, prime contractors, and other support contractors to meet DoD program needs.

Qualifications

• Must currently possess a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher.
• 8+ years in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience working on DoD programs.
• 5+ years of MBSE experience and architecture modeling.
• Direct experience developing or managing Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and flight hardware.
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools (Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB).
• Proficient in SysML, UPDM, DoDAF.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Development of ICDs for spacecraft, ground systems, payloads, and cross-system interfaces in MBSE.
• Work with Configuration Management on ERBs and CCBs.
• Develop interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, command and telemetry mappings.
• Identify interface risks and drive issue resolution across teams.
• Support system integration and testing with authoritative interface documentation.
• Ensure documentation adheres to best practices and standards.
• Provide SME review for Prime contract Change Proposals.
• Manage Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs).
• Collaborate with MSEIT modeling team to align models with ICDs and requirement flowdown.
• Develop acquisition and technical requirements documentation for Gov’t decisions.
