Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee master production scheduling, raw material allocation, and inventory control in a lean manufacturing setting. You will drive purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and ERP utilization to meet on-time delivery targets while supporting safety and maintenance needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5–10 years of related experience; CPIM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5–10 years of related experience.
• CPIM certification is a plus.
• Experience with SAP and ERP in manufacturing.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of MRP and manufacturing inputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply plans to meet orders, forecasted demand, and inventory stocking requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage inventory according to strategy constraints.
• Actively participate in monthly S&OP meetings, accountable for supply chain reporting.
• Ensure proper utilization of ERP systems across the team.
• Prepare and report on department KPIs with analysis and countermeasures.
• Maintain critical inventory parameters for raw materials considering lead times and constraints.
• Interact with demand management, manufacturing, quality, warehousing, and transportation to resolve material issues.
• Measure, analyze, and report key process metrics and KPIs.
