Job summary

Snap-on is seeking a Materials and Purchasing Manager for its Elkmont, Alabama manufacturing plant. The role is on-site and reports to the Plant Manager, overseeing purchasing, supplier relationships, and materials planning to ensure production continuity.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in a related field with 5+ years in purchasing/manufacturing leadership, ERP/MRP proficiency, and strong cost-reduction experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field
MBA or advanced degree is preferred

Responsibilities

Purchasing and Supplier Management: Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives
Materials Planning and Inventory Management: Ensure material availability to support production schedules
Operations Support: Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams
Team Leadership: Lead and develop purchasing and materials personnel
Reporting and Compliance: Monitor purchasing spend and budget performance
