Qualifications

• Must understand planning concepts (make-vs-buy, capacity planning, scheduling) and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage cross-functional, fully integrated planning process including make-vs-buy, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory and cost elements.
• Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to create build-to-order and build-to-forecast plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize production planning and supplier relationships to meet on-time delivery targets.
• Establish methods and best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing and material control.
• Manage production scheduling by tracking inventories, progress, and factors affecting schedules.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory counts in coordination with Finance and inventory control systems.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet growth and sourcing requirements.
• Identify and manage relationships with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Establish and monitor supplier scorecards and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, machining and assembly to maintain 100% on-time delivery.
• Represent materials organization on corporate task force teams and manage department budget.
