Job summary

Hendrickson in Berea, KY seeks a Materials Planner to manage MRP data integrity, maintain vendor files, and release work orders for production and outside processing. You will collaborate with procurement, shipping, and quality to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes supplier management, cost control, and continuous improvement, with responsibility for PO entry, inventory control, and supporting QOS metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP systems and procurement records in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of supplier management, cost reductions, and corrective actions.
• Proven background in team leadership and project management; adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Ensures MRP data integrity and manages vendor files and work order releases for production and outside processing.
• Reviews requisitions and prepares purchase orders; maintains procurement records and inventories.
• Discusses defects with quality or vendors and implements corrective actions; may serve as Quality Auditor.
• Backups QOS metrics monitoring for supplier delivery, forecast accuracy, and inventory days on hand.
• Participates in continuous improvement teams and handles MRO and PO entry/receipt.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
