Job summary

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in purchasing/procurement.
• Interpersonal and communication skills essential for supplier negotiations and internal coordination.
• Mathematical aptitude for forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Ability to work under high stress and meet critical deadlines.
• Understanding of overseas supply chain and import/export considerations.

Responsibilities

• Forecast review and MRP analysis to satisfy customer requirements within supplier lead times.
• Run MRP updates and adjust parameters to optimize inventory levels.
• Prepare buy, expedite and de-expedite reports; place, cancel, or adjust orders as needed.
• Monitor inventory of raw parts and tooling; communicate shortages or surpluses.
• Develop strategies for optimal inventory levels and supplier performance.
• Review supplier shipping documents and communicate approved releases.
• Coordinate with sales on forecast changes and adjust systems accordingly.
• Support special projects and adhere to Ramco employee guidelines.
