Jobot seeks a dynamic Permanent Materials Planner to join its manufacturing team in Ohio. You will coordinate material planning, forecasting, and procurement to ensure uninterrupted production.

Strong ERP, inventory management, and strategic planning skills are essential for success. The role demands 5+ years in materials planning within manufacturing, excellent negotiation and communication abilities, and a proven track record of improving planning processes in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning in manufacturing.
• Experience with production planning, inventory management, ERP, procurement, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of strategic planning principles and Lean Six Sigma.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement materials planning strategies to meet production requirements and optimize resource use.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure material availability and prevent shortages or excesses.
• Use ERP systems to track materials, forecast needs, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Lead procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and supplier management.
• Conduct accurate forecasting to predict material needs and schedule deliveries.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align materials planning with company objectives.
• Implement Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow through production.
• Continuously review and improve materials planning processes for efficiency.
• Prepare and present reports on materials planning activities and performance.
