Job summary

GTI Fabrication seeks a Materials Planner to own the 12-week production plan and the material requirements for a value stream. You will partner with Operations and Materials teams, driving schedules, material readiness, and risk mitigation in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include managing WIP, capacity, and supplier lead times, while building dashboards and KPI reports to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years across Production Planning/Scheduling and Materials Planning/MRP.
• Demonstrated ownership of a production schedule and the material plan.
• Strong ERP/MRP system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MRPeasy, IFS, Epicor; MES a plus).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); KPI dashboards.
• Strong analytical, cross-functional communication, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and publish the rolling 12-week production plan for the value stream.
• Manage the plan in two bands: weeks 1–4 in detail; weeks 5–12 in capacity/detail.
• Translate demand and milestones into an executable schedule across work centers.
• Reconcile plan against performance; adjust ahead of misses.
• Evaluate capacity with OPS for staffing, overtime, and shifts.
• Own MRP execution; maintain live forward material readiness for 12 weeks.
• Identify shortages early and drive resolutions with Procurement/Materials.
• Partner with Materials Management to align material flow with the plan.
• Lead root-cause analysis on misses; drive countermeasures.
