Job summary

Adient US LLC in Normal, IL is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material planning, inventory, and logistics supporting uninterrupted production at the plant. You will manage BOM data, MRP parameters, and supplier performance while driving cost efficiency and service levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Previous leadership experience managing supervisors and hourly employees.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, production planning, and logistics operations.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing and familiarity with IATF 16949 requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials planning, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and material handling activities.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inbound and outbound transportation operations and cost optimization.
• Establish standardized procedures for receiving, shipping, and warehouse controls.
• Develop departmental goals, coach staff, and drive performance KPIs.
