STEEL WAREHOUSE CO LLC seeks a Materials Manager to lead procurement, storage, and distribution for our manufacturing operations in Oak Creek, WI. You will drive inventory accuracy and supply chain performance to support production schedules and lean initiatives.

Responsibilities include end-to-end materials management, supplier negotiations, production planning, and cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales and/or steel material experience within the steel service center spectrum.
• Experience with inventory management and/or ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of data analysis/reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; root‑cause analysis experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including cross‑communication with other personnel including shop employees.

Responsabilités

• Manage inventory based on customer demand
• Maintain accuracy on all inventory and purchasing for decisions involving purchasing
• Manage end-to-end materials management processes, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics coordination
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, improve supply chain efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Develop and implement production scheduling and demand planning strategies aligned with manufacturing needs
• Maintain detailed records using spreadsheets and inventory management systems for reporting and analysis purposes
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to optimize materials flow and support lean manufacturing initiatives
