Job summary

DMF Lighting is seeking a Material Buyer and Planner for our onsite operations in Carson, CA. You will analyze inventory, forecast demand, purchase materials, and coordinate supplier shipments to sustain monthly production and sales targets.

Collaboration with Purchasing Manager and Finance is essential for optimizing stock levels and transition planning. Responsibilities include issuing POs, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining ERP data accuracy, and contributing to S&OP processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply/demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain basics.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; certifications such as CPIM/CSCP APICS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, issue, and control purchase orders to match production and sales needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on forecasts, changes, and delivery schedules.
• Analyze inventory levels and maintain buying forecasts for all products.
• Maintain ERP data accuracy and monitor material supply parameters.
• Support spend-productivity programs including make/buy and supplier consolidation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in S&OP processes.
• Attend on-site meetings and events in Carson, CA as required.
