Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer to support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams in material procurement and supplier management from Marietta, OH. The role ensures material availability, supports production, and maintains inventory to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Responsibilities include planning orders, expediting, data accuracy, and coordinating changes with suppliers and internal teams to optimize supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials planning.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing processes, and supplier coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and plan material requirements to support production and customer demand.
• Monitor and resolve past-due orders, delivery issues, and expediting needs.
• Maintain accurate item data, including lead times, pricing, and inventory parameters.
• Manage material supply and inventory levels to support manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate engineering change orders with suppliers and internal teams.
• Analyze supply chain issues and implement effective solutions.
