Afton Scientific in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Senior Buyer Planner to lead procurement, planning, and management of raw materials and packaging for manufacturing projects. You will own supplier relationships, forecast material needs, manage inventory policies, and mitigate supply risks while supporting audits and SOP documentation.

Qualificações

• Associate or bachelor’s degree; 5+ years in purchasing or material planning may substitute.
• Experience in inventory management and procuring materials.
• Proficiency with SAP or another ERP system and with MS Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain competitive quotes and procure materials for manufacturing and projects.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned suppliers and manage relationships.
• Monitor open POs, delivery performance, and critical material orders.
• Manage raw material, in-transit, and consignment inventory with accurate MRP data.
• Coordinate material availability to support production schedules and minimize shortages.
• Lead continuous improvement to boost efficiency, reliability, and cost effects.
• Support supplier qualification programs and document SOPs and audits.
