Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in Illinois seeks a Materials Buyer to manage production suppliers, plan all incoming raw materials, purchased components, packaging, sub-suppliers and outside services to support manufacturing and shipping requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in purchasing or PMAC enrollment/completion.
• 3–5 years in the automotive industry.
• 2 years inventory control experience.
• Experience with steel/aluminum is an asset.
• Excellent organizational and English communication skills.
• Proficiency with database applications and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize with detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all incoming logistics planning with suppliers.
• Inventory expert; troubleshoot inventory discrepancies in ERP.
• Maintain minimum inventory levels and perform cycle counts.
• Work with Manufacturing to designate storage locations and maps.
• Verify receipt data entry and monitor FIFO.
• Coordinate receiving schedules for smooth flow of products.
• Report monthly Supplier Performance for QOS.
• Assist in training Receivers on CMS and databases as required.
• Collaborate with Quality Supervisors on supplier quality issues.
