Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing of materials, parts, and equipment in support of our vast infrastructure product lines. You will optimize price, delivery, and terms while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing requisitions, supplier RFQs, supplier relationship management, and price discrepancy resolution to maximize profitability and ensure timely availability for production.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline required; MS/MA may be preferred and may reduce experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves purchase requisitions.
• Identifies potential suppliers and issues RFQs.
• Analyzes and selects suppliers and issues purchase orders; follows up and expedites as necessary.
• Develops and manages supplier relationships to achieve cost, availability, and inventory goals.
• Tracks industry trends and market conditions affecting the business.
• Supports production/new production introduction as a materials resource on teams.
• Cleans price discrepancies with accounting and supports margin targets.
