Job summary

Phoenix Manufacturing is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing of materials, components, and services to support production schedules. You will work with Materials, Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Accounting to ensure on-time delivery at competitive pricing while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities include PO creation, supplier communications, and inventory availability, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost savings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to interact with suppliers and internal teams.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP, requisitions, inventory levels, and demand to determine purchasing needs.
• Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system per policy and approvals.
• Source materials, components, tooling, and services to support production and operations.
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery dates.
• Expedite or reschedule orders to meet production needs and minimize shortages.
