Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Production Control & Purchasing Assistant to support the Production Control and Purchasing departments.

This cross-trained role helps maintain the flow of materials and information, creates and updates work orders and purchase orders, and enters data in the ERP system to support timely production and supplier coordination. The successful candidate will monitor material and job status, follow up on supplier commitments, maintain records, and communicate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in admin, production control, purchasing, or related manufacturing experience.
• Experience creating or processing work orders, purchase orders, or similar documents.
• Experience entering information in an ERP or production control system.
• Strong data-entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to read basic manufacturing documents (part numbers, due dates, etc).
• Able to work independently and cross‑functionally.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, revise, release, update, print, and maintain purchase/work orders in the ERP system.
• Prepare RFQ requests and distribute to suppliers.
• Track supplier pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments.
• Review purchasing docs for accuracy (part numbers, quantities, pricing, dates).
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on acknowledgements and delays.
• Maintain supplier records and related purchasing documents.
• Communicate delays or pricing issues to buyers and managers.
• Assist with production schedules and status reports.
• Support cross‑department collaboration on production control and purchasing.
