Job summary

Overhead Door Company of Albuquerque™, a DH Pace Company, Inc., is seeking a Buyer to manage material procurement for projects in Albuquerque, NM. You will secure deliveries, monitor inventory, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining quality and sustainability of materials.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, ERP experience, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include researching vendors, maintaining supplier relationships, and coordinating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with ERP or equivalent system preferred.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, learn and interpret instructions.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone, and other productivity machinery.
• Must be able to work under varying degrees of workplace stress and handle confrontation.

Responsibilities

• Order, research, and release materials, services, and supplies for projects.
• Develop procedural know-how and apply standard procurement practices.
• Monitor inventory through the procurement lifecycle, perform cycle counts and audits.
• Review open purchase orders and manage variances and shortages.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and optimize costs and delivery.
• Maintain pricing consistency and coordinate early payment discounts.
• Resolve supplier issues affecting delivery, quality, or cost; inform management of issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements with key suppliers.
• Assist in supplier development to expand supply base and cost advantages.
• Coordinate with admin staff to ensure accurate data entry and reduce costs.
