Job summary

Tremec is seeking a Material Planner to develop and implement material plans for production, warehousing and delivery. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 2–5 years in material planning within automotive manufacturing, and strong MRP familiarity with SAP/QAD/Oracle. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, with emphasis on Excel.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree required, 4-year degree preferred in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business.
• Requires 2-5 years of experience in material planning in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• MS Office, Word and Excel knowledge required.
• Working knowledge of MRP with SAP/QAD/Oracle and EDI transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material plans for production, warehousing, inventory and delivery to meet demand.
• Coordinate with Suppliers and Outside Processors on daily demand and delivery issues.
• Manage MRP, procurement, inventory control and warehousing activities.
• Establish inventory targets and implement KanBan to prevent stockouts and excess stock.
• Review supplier schedules and communicate changes to Master Scheduler and materials manager.
• Maintain Bill of Materials and parts information in SAP.
