Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Planner to ensure daily availability of materials and maintain accurate system information. The role involves independent judgment, safety adherence, and hands-on planning of warehouse operations to support smooth production flow.

Qualifications

• High school degree or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required, with ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
• Strong computer skills (Excel and Word)
• Strong math skills
• Strong SAP background
• Strong Analytical background
• Ability to read and use tape measure, calipers, and gauging equipment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Able to exercise independent judgment when performing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review BOMs daily for each SO and identify new parts; set up correctly.
• Identify root causes for inventory discrepancies and adjust BOMs as needed.
• Review exception lists to ensure inventory accuracy and on-hand status.
• Cost and release production orders.
• Enter picks and submit work order corrections.
• Monitor parts to avoid production delays.
• Assist in locating missing materials and clean up unused materials.
