R. H. Sheppard Co. Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Material Planner to keep production moving by ensuring the right materials are available when needed while balancing inventory, supplier performance, and customer requirements.

The role involves MRP planning in Plex ERP, analyzing forecasts and schedules, coordinating with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics, and driving continuous improvements in material flow and inventory management.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Plex ERP preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage MRP within Plex ERP to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal inventory levels.
• Analyze forecasts, customer releases, and schedules to maintain replenishment plans.
• Monitor supplier performance and elevate issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to support objectives.
• Maintain planning parameters in Plex (lead times, safety stock, reorder points, lot sizing, supplier schedules).
• Coordinate supplier releases and communications for timely material delivery.
• Identify shortages and develop recovery plans to minimize disruptions.
• Manage inventory to achieve turns and working capital targets.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances in Plex ERP.
• Support Change Requests and product launches with material availability and transition plans.
• Drive continuous improvement in inventory optimization and material flow.
