Job summary

XNRGY Climate Solutions, a leading North American designer and manufacturer of air handling and liquid cooling systems, seeks a Lead Material Planner to drive procurement, inventory, and supply chain logistics for custom HVAC products in a fast-growing environment.

You will partner with production, engineering, and procurement to ensure materials availability, optimize inventory, and support production schedules. Strong analytical skills and ERP experience are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in materials planning, inventory, or supply chain roles, preferably HVAC/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (Epicor is a plus) and inventory management software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MRP schedules for production.
• Analyze schedules & forecasts to determine material needs.
• Collaborate with procurement to order materials, negotiate pricing, manage lead times.
• Monitor inventory to avoid shortages or excess stock; minimize waste.
• Identify and resolve material shortages or supply chain disruptions.
• Coordinate with engineering and production to accommodate design/production changes.
• Track and report metrics like inventory turnover and supplier performance.
• Maintain records of materials, transactions, and purchasing.
• Participate in continuous improvement of inventory management processes.
• Lead department coordination of key KPIs and process improvements.
