Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Sr. Buyer / Planner to source, purchase, and manage materials and components for manufacturing.

You will drive on-time delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness while building strong supplier relationships and partnering with engineering, production and quality teams to optimize the supply chain. The role offers growth in a fast-expanding data center cooling division within a global organization with a broad range of categories and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or preferred with supply chain emphasis.
• 5+ years of work experience in supply chain or related field; leadership skills desirable.
• Experience building supplier relationships and driving cost savings.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent purchasing in daily operations and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Develop supplier strategies to meet production schedules and budgets.
• Maintain reports on open orders and on-time delivery performance.
• Lead purchasing projects and improve inventory levels.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and QA to optimize supply chain.
• Resolve invoice disputes and document departmental processes.
