Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Material Planner in Mukilteo, WA to ensure material availability supporting production schedules and customer requirements. Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• High School diploma required.
• AA degree preferred.
• 3+ years manufacturing ERP experience, Epicor preferred.
• Experience in material planning, production planning, and supply chain.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze ERP-generated material requirements and planning suggestions.
• Monitor inventory levels, demand, and supply to ensure materials are available to support production and development schedules.
• Identify material shortages, excess inventory, and potential supply risks
• Request and obtain supplier quotations for new and existing materials as required
• Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times, and material data within the ERP system.
• Work closely with Production, Scheduling, and Program Management to prioritize material requirements.
• Monitor open demand and provide recommendations to mitigate potential shortages or delays.
• Generate and maintain reports related to material availability, shortages, and planning performance.
