Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Huntsville, AR is seeking a Master Scheduler to lead the production planning process, balance capacity with demand, and drive on-time customer fulfillment with efficient inventory usage.

The role collaborates with Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Finance to maintain a feasible master schedule, update routings, measure performance, and coach Production Schedulers to meet schedules and service levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Operations, Logistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3+ years of proven Supply Chain and Planning experience in a similar role.
Minimum of 1 year of ERP/MRP experience.
Aerospace or Electronic component manufacturing experience preferred.
APICS or equivalent Supply Chain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain master schedule and review expedited requests to drive adherence to planning horizons.
Update routings and capacity estimates based on output standards and new capacity conditions.
Ensure capacity is level loaded and coordinate new product introductions and end-of-life close-outs.
Coordinate work and provide directions to the Production Schedulers.
Develop metrics to measure scheduling performance (lead time, schedule attainment, schedule adherence).
Provide inventory projections and identify service level issues.
Coach Production Schedulers and conduct gap/postmortem analyses between forecast and actuals.
Promote continuous improvement in materials management and planning practices.
