Job summary

Border Bank is seeking a Marketing & Communications Director to lead strategic marketing, brand, and communications across its Fargo, ND and Minnesota markets. This role reports to the CEO and partners with market presidents to drive growth, optimize campaigns, and strengthen the Border Bank brand.

You will build a data-driven, scalable function, align initiatives with enterprise goals, manage budgets, and develop talent.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in progressive marketing or communications with leadership.
• Proven ability to lead multi-market marketing strategies.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Banking/financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise-wide marketing and communications strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Drive revenue growth through performance-based product marketing and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Market Presidents to tailor local strategies and enable bankers.
• Oversee brand, external communications, and reputation management across markets.
• Manage budget and resources, ensuring ROI and governance compliance.
• Build and mentor a high-performing marketing and communications team.
• Represent the bank in the community and support strategic initiatives.
