Madrigal is seeking an Associate Director, Market Access Analytics to lead payer, formulary, and coverage analytics for the MASH portfolio, turning data into strategic guidance for leadership, Managed Markets, and field teams.

You will own KPI frameworks, dashboards, gross-to-net analytics, and collaborate with Patient Services, Trade, and Finance, with national and local scope. Strong SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and Python skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech analytics experience, including market access/payer analytics.
• Strong knowledge of access-related datasets (e.g., MMIT, DRG, claims, specialty pharmacy, distribution, contracting).
• Ability to build KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive-ready reporting.
• Proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau); Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the payer analytics KPI framework across formulary access, coverage, utilization management, payer/channel segmentation mix, and contract performance at national and local levels.
• Analyze formulary positioning, covered lives, payer policy trends, and utilization-management dynamics; translate access challenges into strategic guidance for leadership and field teams.
• Develop analytics and reporting on payer channel performance, projected plan performance, and pull-through to inform short-term tactical decisions and long-term access strategy.
• Support gross-to-net, contract, and rebate analytics — including bid evaluation, break-even/return-on-contract scenarios, and net-revenue impact of formulary access assumptions.
• Partner with Patient Services and Trade on copay/affordability program analytics and specialty pharmacy dynamics affecting patient access.
• Build and maintain executive-ready dashboards and reporting, mapping across formulary, claims, and projected-plan-performance data sources.
• Serve as a strategic analytics partner to Managed Markets, Patient Services, Trade, Finance, and the broader Commercial team.
• Partner with data enablement and IT to ensure robust data infrastructure for payer analytics, and manage relationships with access-data vendors.
