Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in Oakland is seeking a procurement professional to manage direct and indirect materials, supplier relationships, and inventory replenishment in a high‑mix manufacturing environment. You will apply SAP/MRP, negotiate terms, track spend, support NPDI/MPDI, and contribute to Lean initiatives while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and internal controls.

This role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required.
• Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory replenishment in a high‑mix production setting.
• Intermediate knowledge of MRP/ERP‑driven procurement processes; SAP experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders for direct materials, indirect materials, and services.
• Monitor open orders and expedite deliveries to prevent production disruptions.
• Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Maintain purchasing data in SAP, including pricing, lead times, and supplier records.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve non-conformances and delivery issues.
