Job summary

Mettler-Toledo Rainin in Oakland, CA is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate planning within the value chain and release production orders aligned with MRP recommendations, while considering material availability and departmental constraints.

Responsibilities include managing the MRP workbench, supporting SQDC meetings, and ensuring accurate scheduling and release of orders. A strong background in ERP, SAP, lean practices, and data analysis is required.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of material and demand planning.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and applying them.
• Familiar with Root Cause Analysis tools.
• Analytical ability to run ad hoc reports and interpret data.
• Effective oral and written communication to cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage and interpret MRP workbench to create and monitor discrete jobs for product families.
• Participate in SQDC planning meetings with updates and plan status.
• Build positive relationships within teams and with departments.
• Evaluate production capacity and optimization opportunities.
• Schedule production orders with input from manufacturing.
• Release production orders as per material availability.
• Review orders with missing components and coordinate with Procurement.
• Maintain accurate start and completion dates on orders.
• Support inventory management and forecast future demand.
