Job summary

BD is seeking a Production Planner in USA NC - Mebane to convert rough-cut capacity into a detailed production plan based on material availability and capacity analysis. You will coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, and Logistics to execute scheduled orders and ensure products move from release to stock.

The role emphasizes accuracy reporting, solving capacity and material challenges, and driving continuous improvement within a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• 3-5 years manufacturing and/or planning / scheduling experience.
• Demonstrated experience in ERP systems (SAP, JDE, etc.).
• Working understanding of standard mfg. rates, OEE, and capacity analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
• Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Create/release production orders and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics.
• Owns product status and availability from order release to in-stock.
• Communicate supply performance problems to Supply Chain network and operations.
• Balance work center capacity with material availability and expiry to minimize scrap.
• Provide data for KPIs such as schedule compliance and inventory at risk.
• Perform production planning, buying, inventory control, outsourcing as needed.
• Maintain accurate SAP data reflecting the supply plan.
• Support team members in buying, inventory, shipping/receiving.
• Engage in cross-functional activities with operations and procurement.
• Create reports to support process improvement and performance metrics.
• Lead or participate in key continuous improvement projects.
