Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company in North Carolina seeks a Production Planner to convert rough-cut capacity master schedules into detailed plans, coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data and Logistics.

You will manage SAP/JDE data, report on product status, and drive continuous improvements while ensuring accurate SAP maintenance and cross-functional support.

Strong ERP experience and MS Office proficiency required; associates degree in related field; bachelor preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• 3-5 years manufacturing and/or planning / scheduling experience.
• Demonstrated experience in ERP systems (SAP, JDE, etc.).
• Working understanding of MFG rates, OEE, capacity analysis.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal, oral/written, and communication skills.
• Thrives in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Create/release production orders and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics in the execution of the scheduled orders.
• Key contact responsible for accurate reporting of product status and availability timeline.
• Full ownership of products from order release to stock.
• Communicate supply performance problems to Supply Chain network and operations.
• Balance capacity with material availability/location/expiry.
• Maximize material use to minimize excess inventory and scrap.
• Provide data for KPIs and drive process improvements.
• Maintain SAP data and support cross-functional teams.
