Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Denton, Texas is seeking a Planner to manage inventory levels, production schedules, and material requirements. The role supports manufacturing throughput by coordinating with the Materials Manager and multiple factory teams to ensure timely availability of parts and materials.

The planner will review reports, optimize lot sizes and safety stock, and take action on MRP outputs to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
JDE and SAP knowledge preferred.
APICS certification preferred.
3+ years of inventory/production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of electronics and mechanical products.
Experience creating and managing complex manufacturing process schedules.
Great computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Analyze current work order requirements, inventory levels, production schedules, and material requirements.
Review daily management reports and take appropriate actions.
Prioritize and coordinate fulfillment of demand with factory departments.
Own fill rate and inventory levels set by the demand planner.
Submit work orders to pull materials and support assembly manufacturing.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Planning on shortage reports and supplier schedules.
Resolve scheduling conflicts with the Materials Manager.
Act on order releases and exception messages from the MRP system.
Propose adjustments to planning parameters like order quantities and safety stock.
Meet production and sales deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
