Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an HR Generalist to drive people strategy at the Kansas facility on a 3- to 4-month contract. The role focuses on day-to-day HR operations, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, and employee relations in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of HR experience in manufacturing, be bilingual in Spanish and English, and ideally have union experience including contract negotiation and interpretation of agreements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
• HR experience in a union environment preferred, including the negotiation, administration, and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of HR practices including talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, change management and organizational development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Effective conflict resolution and mediation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, record keeping, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Coach, counsel, guide, and mentor internal clients on attracting, engaging, and investing in employees through the lifecycle.
• Champion strategic HR initiatives related to people development, talent management, staffing, retention, diversity, organizational development, and performance management.
• Ensure HR priorities are customer-centric and aligned to operational strategy.
• Implement talent acquisition strategy and KPI’s; develop robust talent pipelines for production, trades, technical and supervisory positions.
• Provide subject matter expertise and counsel leaders on change management.
• Provide coaching to operations management regarding communication and leadership style and its impact on change efforts.
• Support annual processes and systems to build management competencies within the local leadership team.
• Support HR activities related to managing union relationships including contract negotiations, monthly meetings, grievances, arbitration, and labor relations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies across locations.
