Job summary

OPW is seeking a Buyer for our Elon, North Carolina campus to support daily production needs across multiple manufacturing locations. The role partners with Operations Planning to execute the business plan, ensuring on-time deliveries and optimal inventory levels.

The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, leverage ERP and MRP, and help drive cost reduction while maintaining quality and delivery. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of purchasing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficient with ERP, Excel, MS Office Suite; able to read engineering blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Procure daily items to ensure on-time deliveries and optimal inventory levels.
• Improve supplier performance by monitoring quality, cost, delivery, and inventory metrics.
• Reconcile pricing and receiving discrepancies with vendors and coordinate with accounts payable.
