Job summary

EMI Industries, an LSI company, is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement for manufacturing operations across multiple plants. You will process POs, issue RFIs/RFPs, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries while coordinating with operations and accounting.

The ideal candidate has procurement experience in manufacturing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Procurement processes and PO management in manufacturing.
• Two years supervisory experience in shipping/logistics preferred.
• Experience in retail fixtures, millwork, food service equipment, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills for data like percentages and averages.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency with ERP purchasing functions (training available).

Responsibilities

• Process and issue purchase orders and change orders.
• Prepare RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs; evaluate responses.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Assist with invoice reconciliation and payment processes.
• Coordinate product deliveries and resolve shipping/logistics issues.
• Maintain ERP purchasing and inventory records.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve order issues.
• Assist with inventory data collection and material planning.
• Prepare weekly/monthly procurement reports.
• Conduct price checks and supplier evaluations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
