Job summary

Volumod Indy LLC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a motivated Buyer to support our modular construction manufacturing operations. You will procure materials, manage the PO lifecycle, and develop sourcing plans to balance cost, quality, and on-time delivery.

Success in this role depends on strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and inventory control, with collaboration across Production, Project Management, and Accounting to meet production schedules and project budgets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or minimum of 2 years in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities are essential.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication and problem-solving.
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems; Fishbowl is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, supplies, and services to meet production schedules.
• Manage the full PO lifecycle from generation to delivery.
• Develop sourcing plans focused on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and finance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and supplier performance metrics.
