Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement of materials and contractor services, issue and track purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You will analyze quotations, negotiate terms, monitor open orders, and drive on-time delivery while building supplier relationships and contributing to cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Quality or Manufacturing.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and analyze quotations, negotiate purchases, select suppliers & contractors.
• Review, create, and approve purchase orders in Oracle to ensure timely supply.
• Monitor open orders, drive order execution, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Build supplier relationships and leverage global supply base for favorable terms.
• Identify new vendors and materials, expand sourcing options.
• Identify procurement improvements and participate in productivity initiatives.
• Coordinate with finance to establish supplier profiles and resolve payments.
• Maintain inventory levels using various tools per business needs.
