Job summary

The NYC School Construction Authority is seeking a Senior Management Specialist who will conduct and coordinate management, operational, and financial analyses to support Senior Management. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to build consensus across departments.

Responsibilities include preparing formal analytical reports, recommending policy changes, assisting with implementation, and developing models to study complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of full-time experience in consulting, design and implementation of management reports and analyses.
• Experience with management reporting and financial analysis.
• Proficient with relevant computer skills and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare formal analytical reports for Senior Management (e.g., analyses of vendor information, scheduling data, financial analyses, metrics, and regulatory reports).
• Recommend changes to policies and procedures affecting departmental operations.
• Assist Senior Management with implementation of recommendations, including directing staff or contractors on projects.
• Develop methodologies and analytical models to study issues from a systems perspective.
• Coordinate department-wide or authority-wide special projects.
• Build consensus on departmental policies and procedures.
• Research departmental policies and procedures and ensure accuracy of the Authority Manual.
