Job summary

Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay is searching for two Major Gifts Officers to deepen relationships with donors and advance our mission of pursuing justice, promoting healing, and creating meaningful change across the East Bay.

You will cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, managing portfolios and developing engagement strategies. You’ll work with leadership and Board, contributing to planned and legacy giving and our 150th Anniversary celebration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience, including 3+ years managing a major donor portfolio.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors.
• Strong relationship-building and storytelling about mission and impact.
• Experience with donor CRM systems such as Salesforce or Blackbaud.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical fundraising.

JFCS East Bay is growing our Development team and looking for two Major Gifts Officers to help deepen relationships with generous donors and advance our mission of pursuing justice, promoting healing, and creating meaningful change across the East Bay.

About the Role

Major Gifts Officers will cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors and prospects, managing portfolios of major donors. You'll build meaningful relationships, develop individualized engagement strategies, partner with executive leadership and Board members, and help connect donors to the impact of JFCS East Bay's work.

This role will also contribute to planned and legacy giving, special initiatives, community engagement, and our upcoming 150th Anniversary celebration, an exciting opportunity to help shape the next chapter of our organization!

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience, including 3+ years managing a major donor portfolio
• Has demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors
• Builds authentic relationships and communicates mission and impact compellingly
• Is strategic, collaborative, organized, and comfortable using donor CRM systems such as Salesforce or Blackbaud
• Brings a commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural humility, and ethical fundraising
