Job summary

Givaudan is seeking aMaintenance Planner to develop and communicate maintenance plans for installations and equipment in a food/chemical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on allocating resources, skills, and materials to minimize disruptions and ensure regulatory compliance.

The incumbent will forecast costs, monitor inventories, and maintain documentation for audits while collaborating with Maintenance Managers.

Qualifications

• Vocational diploma or certifications in maintenance, technical engineering, or related discipline (pre-university level) preferred.
• Overall work experience of 5+ years with mechanical/electrical background in food or chemical related manufacturing environment.
• Good computer literacy and knowledge of work order system (SAP highly preferred).
• Good mathematical skills and ability to estimate labor hours and materials.
• Demonstrated ability to read standard machine and process drawings.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment and plan for adequate resources, skills, and materials for the maintenance department.
• Review plans with Maintenance Managers to validate accuracy and consolidate into a master plan.
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment for planned maintenance activities.
• Calculate overall maintenance costs including labor, material and service provider costs.
• Maintain and update all information required for the maintenance team (drawings, vendor manuals, procedures).
• Classify, sort, prioritize, and distribute work requests by category (emergency, safety, GMP, shutdown, reliability).
• Monitor and report maintenance activities and their cost against budget.
• Keep accurate metrics on progress of maintenance plans and provide reports to the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain work control status and backlog for work requests.
• Provide documents for department audits and support problem resolution.
