VSS Logistics in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee intake, storage, and distribution across sites. You will coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory control, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate records.

Strong Excel and ERP proficiency, forklift certification, and leadership on projects are preferred. This exempt full-time role requires attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and compliance with safety standards.

Formación

• Basic computer knowledge; Excel proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail, typing accuracy, dependability, strong phone presence, negotiation skills.
• Able to obtain forklift certification (OSHA).
• Ability to execute order management within an ERP system.
• Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Receive requests from customers; identify and negotiate with suppliers to fulfill orders.
• Review and approve incoming customer purchase orders and contracts.
• Issue purchase orders to suppliers in support of customer orders.
• Maintain customer records by keeping account information current and accurate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns and issues promptly.
• Track and document vendor performance, pricing, and delivery reliability.
• Expedite and invoice orders as they ship.
• Present company capabilities to new and existing customers to win business.
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and coordinating freight services.
• Read customer orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Direct the movement of materials from receiving/storage to shipping per procedures.
• Ensure materials are sorted and placed on racks, shelves, or bins per internal procedures.
• Ensure warehouse remains accessible, organized and safe for staff and customer traffic.
• Oversee assembly of customer orders from stock and staging or relocation to holding area.
• Ensure items are properly marked with identifying information.
• Record amounts of materials or items received and/or shipped in the inventory system.
• Oversee and participate in physical inventory counts.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and notify inside sales of discrepancies.
• Maintain warehouse and work area organization.
• Oversee preparation of parcels for mailing and shipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned
