Job summary

Evonik Industries AG is seeking a Logistics and Shipping Scheduler to manage overall planning, execution, and delivery performance for the site. You will work with corporate logistics and the Supply Chain Organization to design shipment plans for domestic and international destinations using truck, rail, air, or ocean transport.

The role requires coordinating with external providers, optimizing loads and costs, and ensuring compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, and customs regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related discipline; or associate degree with two years of relevant logistics experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing logistics, plant logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• Experience working with SAP or a comparable ERP/MRP system.
• Experience coordinating transportation carriers, freight forwarders, or logistics providers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipments with carriers, ocean carriers, drayage providers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
• Select carriers based on service, cost, and route requirements; align with production constraints and delivery commitments.
• Manage transportation challenges and maintain high on-time delivery.
• Create and manage deliveries and shipments in SAP; monitor status and resolve issues.
