Job summary

Coborn's, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Planning & Scheduling Specialist to support transportation operations across our store network.

You will coordinate transportation planning, driver scheduling, route assignments, and fleet utilization to ensure safe, efficient deliveries that support remarkable guest experiences. You will work closely with Logistics leadership, Warehouse Operations, Fleet Maintenance and transportation partners to respond to changing needs, optimize resources, and identify

• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan & coordinate transportation: develop and manage daily and weekly delivery routes, driver schedules, equipment assignments, and staffing coverage.
• Manage scheduling & staffing needs: adjust schedules and coordinate coverage for absences, vacations, training, seasonal demands, and changes.
• Optimize transportation resources: evaluate fleet availability, route efficiency, and capacity to improve utilization and control costs.
• Coordinate transportation partners: work with third-party carriers to secure capacity and maintain reliable delivery operations.
• Collaborate across departments: partner with Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Fleet Maintenance to coordinate loading schedules, departure times, equipment availability, and delivery priorities.
• Monitor performance & improve processes: track mileage, drive time, overtime, staffing coverage, and delivery reliability.
• Support safety & compliance: ensure plans align with DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records: manage schedules, driver assignments, equipment information, and operational records.
