Job summary

Berkshire Dairy and Food Products LLC seeks a Logistics Planner to manage daily transportation activities, plan routes, and coordinate shipments nationwide. You will work with carriers, warehouses, and customers to optimize load efficiency and on-time delivery.

The role requires 2–5 years in logistics and a Bachelor’s in a related field, with experience using transportation management systems and MS Office. Candidates should be able to negotiate terms and adapt to scheduling changes.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.
  • 2–5 years of logistics planning, transportation, distribution, or related experience with motor carrier knowledge.
  • Certification and/or license may be required during the course of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dry and refrigerated truckload, LTL, and specialized freight movements.
  • Plan and prepare schedules that balance all parties' needs with load efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and transportation providers.
  • Communicate with plant personnel, broker/asset carriers, and warehouse/shipping locations to resolve shipment issues; keep all informed of changes.
  • Ensure freight is scheduled and executed according to customer delivery requirements and capacities.
