Job summary

Berkshire Dairy and Food Products LLC is seeking a Transportation Planner to oversee daily planning, execution, and management of transportation activities nationwide. You will coordinate dry and refrigerated truckload, LTL, and specialized freight, while ensuring efficiency, quality, and service.

Responsibilities include developing schedules, maintaining carrier relationships, resolving shipment issues, recording transactions in TMS, and supporting demand forecasts during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in logistics planning, transportation, distribution, or related experience.
• Experience with motor carrier industry and transportation management systems.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dry and refrigerated truckload, LTL, and specialized freight movements.
• Plan and prepare schedules balancing member/customer needs with load efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and transportation providers.
• Resolve shipment and service issues; inform all parties of critical changes.
• Ensure freight is scheduled and executed per customer requirements and warehouse capacity.
• Reconcile transactions daily; ensure accurate entry in systems.
